Two thousand five hundred years ago, formal education in China was a
privilege of the nobles, Due to Confucius' (BC 551 - BC 479) efforts of
advocating education, peasants started to have the opportunity to have
a formal education. The purpose of education at the time was to learn
the way to govern people. The education at that time mainly was the teaching of literature and martial arts.
Since the age of 7, Mr. Lee's parents taught him the traditional
education: calligraphy, poetry, and Chinese literature. At age 15, his 4th uncle asked a close friend to teach him Tai Chi Chuan, but he did not practice. Starting from the age of 20, his 4th uncle passed on his family’s complete Tai Chi Chuan heritage, until his uncle’s later years. His uncle is the honorable Yang Cheng-Fu's last disciple.
At age 21, he followed his 4th uncle’s order to seek out a famous Shuai Jiau master in Taiwan. After a friend named Hwang Hwei-Yang presented him to Master Chang Dong-Sheng, he then bowed to Master Chang to learn his martial art.
While Mr. Lee studied
ancient Chinese classic literature in university, his father provided
him guidance with letters every two weeks to direct his education. Mr Lee is slightly different from others. The origin of his sciences and arts came from his family heritage more than from other sources.
Since childhood,
literature and martial art have been Mr. Lee's interests. In this age
of neglecting spiritual life, Mr Lee has taken the education of the
ancient gentlemen/scholars as his model, practicing and teaching the roots of the
Chinese culture as his duty.
Mr. Lee would like honest and reliable people to learn at his center.

A relaxed and comfortable feeling of beauty
The creation of the Chinese written language originated with drawing the shapes of things in the world, which are pictures.
Therefore someone said that calligraphy and drawing have the same origin.
Learning calligraphy is to learn how to use brush, ink, and paper to
help each other in harmony, to let symmetric and parallel lines be
created with a relaxed and comfortable feeling of beauty.
Using this skill purifies the soul. The way of calligraphy is also the way of the gentleman.

The way of Chinese language
Chinese language is monosyllabic. Each word has a shape, a sound, and a
meaning. Each word has 4 tones. Each word can also have more than one
meaning. In the Mandarin system, there are many homophones. Therefore,
Chinese language is more difficult to learn than English. One must have
a specialized teacher to learn.
Not every American can teach English. For the same reason, not every
Chinese person who can speak English can teach foreigners
Chinese.
Language is only a bridge. Inside language, the thinking, emotion, and knowledge it contains is what we have to learn.
You can use Chinese language to learn Mao Ze Dong's Quotations, read
Jin Ping Mei (The Plum in the Golden Vase), but Mr. Lee only teaches
phonetics, I Ching, Analects, Lao Tzu, and Yellow Emperor's Nei Jing.

The true face of Tai Chi Chuan
Tai Chi Chuan is a martial art and a way to preserve health.
Then it develops into a more profound subject of self-examination and spiritual practice.
Tai Chi Chuan was created in the Sung Dynasty by Zhang San-Feng. Between the Ming and Qing dynasties, historian and martial artist Hwang Tsung-Hsi and his son called it the “Inner Sect”. Hwang Tsung-Hsi said: “Sung Dynasty Zhang San-Feng learned his martial art in a dream, here he was taught by Emperor Hsuan.”
Ever since Grandmaster Yang Lu-Shan started the Yang Sect of Tai Chi Chuan, he honored Zhang San-Feng as the forefather of Tai Chi Chuan.
Tai Chi Chuan become a famous branch of martial arts starting with Yang Lu-Shan. His grandson, Yang Cheng-Fu made it more perfect. This is what is now widely known as Yang Sect Tai Chi Chuan.
Tai Chi Chuan is traditional Chinese culture. Its development
emphasizes a tradition passed down within the lineage - generation to
generation. One must have the qualification of this lineage, only then
can one correctly grasp its motions and using, and only then can one
have the true effect.
Mr. Lee from a young age began to follow his uncle in learning the complete Tai Chi Chuan martial art. His uncle is the honorable Yang Cheng-Fu's last
disciple. Mr. Lee has over 50 years experience practicing Tai Chi
Chuan. He has taught students of over 30 nationalities.

Practicing Sword purifies the heart
Chuan is the origin of martial art; sword is the oldest brother of weapon.
Practice chuan, practicing the footwork, practicing sword settles the heart.
Body and sword unite and shown in the footwork, sword and spirit united and shown in Chi.
After one has found the spirit of sword, then chuan gains the force from the entire body.
And sword transcends from the physical to the spiritual. This is why the Ancient gentleman carries a sword.
